Sunday Worship: Lent

Restoring Wilderness Bloom.png

Christians celebrate this season called Lent. It’s often imagined as a time in the wilderness: 40 days of isolation and temptation following that footsteps of Jesus. But this year, isolation won't offer a reprise from ordinary life that offers solace -- instead, it's a condition that's harmed many of us.

So this Lent at Dreams and Visions, we’re taking a fresh look at the wilderness, which was not only a place of isolation, but a place of restoration. Jesus went there many times through his ministry, to pray and reconnect with God.

What happens when we experiment with other symbols the wilderness offers up. The bread that was offered there? The water God promises will flow there? The garden that God tells us will bloom there?

This Lent we’re seeking to be restored in the wilderness, exploring themes that will connect us to one another, to God, and to nourishing practices to carry us through difficult days.

Each service will revolve around a theme, and include an invitation to incorporate that theme into your life in the days after worship.

All are welcome. Especially you.
