Every second Sunday of the month, Dreams and Visions gathers for worship.
June's gathering, "From Every Nation” is a celebration of Pentecost! Often thought of as "the birthday of the church," on Pentecost we tell the story of the Holy Spirit descending with tongues of fire, allowing people from every nation to hear and understand each other, even though they spoke different languages.
The Christian church's beginnings are multicultural! How can we know each other across language and borders, especially when fear of the "outsider" is rampant in our nation?
At this service, we will hear Pastor Jean Paul Kisuku tell the story of his journey immigrating from the Congo to the United Sates, and tell us about the church he pastors, Mountain of God, which worships in five different languages!

-Read the story of Pentecost in Acts 2, as the Holy Spirit births a multicultural church!
-Hear a story from Pastor Kisuku
-Listen to a reflection from Emily, our pastor, on what it looks like to know one another across borders and boundaries
-Share our own stories of language and culture
-Gather around the table for communion in many languages!

Help Make it Happen!
We're looking for greeters, readers, set up and clean up helpers, and last-minute-errand do-ers!
For this service we're looking for someone to make our space look special for Pentecost, with fire-colored fabric!
Email Emily at emily@dreamsandvisionsbaltimore.org if you'd like to help.
