This summer, Dreams and Visions is embarking on a new series, exploring one of the boldest calls for justice in scripture.
 

Our series continues on Sunday, August 23, focusing on the line, “to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

When Jesus speak of a year of the Lord’s favor, he’s referring to a year of jubilee, one of the instructions given to Moses on Mount Sinai. The fiftieth year is a year of return and restoration, in which the land is allowed to rest, property is returned to those who once owned it, and liberty for those in servitude. Why does God set out this practice, and how might we carry forward its call today?
