It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the state of things in our world. Add the climate crisis we’re living through, and we might even feel despair. This Fall, Dreams and Visions will explore God’s call to love, care for, and honor creation from a Christian lens. Contrary to some theological teachings, we believe that God made the earth and called it good, and so it is our responsibility to steward it, understanding that its resources are not limited.

We’ll kick off our series with an online service, with Emily, our pastor, preaching and Lea Morris playing music. Together, we’ll explore the relationship between climate change and the most vulnerable communities in our nation and our world.

October 11, 4pm RESCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 18 AT 1PM

We’ll gather at Rockrose Farm in Baltimore, a community farm run by Derrick Weston. Derrick is a master gardener, and co-host of the Food and Faith podcast. Derrick will meditate on Romans 8:18-23, inviting us to consider our place in creation. We’ll pray, listen to music, share communion, and finally, help harvest sweet potatoes!

Please note: all congregants are asked to maintain social distance and wear masks during the service. If you wish to receive communion, please bring your own bread. Or, you can keep your bread in its container, and consume it at home. The service will be live-streamed on the Dreams and Visions facebook page for those who will be worshiping with us from home. Finally, if you would like to attend from a car, there is a space to pull up close to the farm.
