June is a month of celebration and pride for the LGBTQIA+ fam! Rainbows are everywhere, queer powers are activating.
(and as a churchy place, we want to be clear that God loves you in the fullness of who you are!)
For many in the community, Pride month can bring up feelings of grief or pain, maybe sadness or confusion. We know the church and Christianity has caused a lot of that, too. The world is pretty painful for Queer and Trans people all around, lately. There’s a lot of reasonable fear and anxiety floating around, so if you are feeling that, you’re not alone. Promise.
In fact, we’re having a service of healing for folks right in the middle of Pride. Even in our celebration, we deserve to have a place to rest and find some care for our souls. YOU deserve rest and care!
This service will be a gentle and open space, ready to hold whatever feelings this Pride month brings you.
You’re invited and welcome exactly as you are. Trans, Gay, Bi, Queer, Ace, Poly, Pan.
With music from the one and only Aaron Hill.
