During the season of Lent, we are holding two services on Lament.

On Sunday March 22, we will lament the injustices suffered by God’s creation, through the neglect and misuse of our earth.

The climate crisis we face as a human family is real, and overwhelming. We are called to come together and confess the wrong that has been done, and listen to the truth of this moment. From there, we can work for justice.

Our speaker will by Cody Boteler. Cody is local journalist and writer who’s been part of Dreams & Visions from the beginning. He’s been a staff reporter for The Baltimore Sun and for Industry Dive, a speciality publication in Washington DC.

His connection to the environment comes from a deep intellectual curiosity developed at Towson University and even deeper spiritual and personal connections to the hills of central Maryland and the mountains of central Appalachia.

He’s a 2017 graduate of Towson’s Honors College where he earned a degree in journalism and environmental science & studies.
