This summer, Dreams and Visions is embarking on a new series, exploring one of the boldest calls for justice in scripture.
 

Our series continues on Sunday, July 12, focusing on the line, “to bring good news to the poor.”

Emily, our pastor, will be preaching on a concept called the “preferential option for the poor,” written about by the Peruvian theologian and priest Father Gustavo Gutiérrez in his groundbreaking work, A Theology of Liberation: History, Politics, and Salvation.

 What does “good news” for those living in poverty look and sound like through the lens of liberation theology?
