Native Planting with St. Mark's

Dreams and Visions will team up with our partners at St. Mark's for a planting and tree care outside 1900 St. Paul Street, followed by drinks (our fave) at a new locale -- Guilford Hall -- for a cold drink.

Our project for the day will be planting up two big, colorful pots to stand in front of 1900 St. Paul Street with native plants (designed by Kaila) as well as caring for the pollinators we planted in the tree beds last Spring by mulching, watering, and tidying. The result will be a beautiful and bright eco-friendlier church.

Dreams and Visions folks are welcome to attend St. Mark's Rogation Day Mass that morning (Rogation Day is an ancient Christian practice of blessing crops) and/or the Fellowship Hour after the service.

Planting will start around 1:30 pm. Wear gardening clothes and bring gardening gloves and any tools you might have. We'll also have some to supply. Hats, sunscreen, and a bottle for water will be needed as well.

We’ll expect to head over to Guilford Hall after we’ve had enough gardening—likely close to 4:00.

Feel free to drop by at any point!

For the safety of all we'll continue to mask. We have begun singing indoors while wearing masks.

Dreams and Visions is an LGBTQ+ rooted community. We honor your full selves, use your pronouns, and do our best to create trauma-informed spaces. Gender neutral bathrooms are available. While the lower level is accessible by ramp, the new worship space is located up a set of stairs. Please contact Vicar Claire at vicar@stmarksbaltimore.org if you have trouble navigating stairs, and we will work with you to create a plan.

Dreams and Visions staff keep an eye on COVID data to ensure that community policies stay up to date. For now, we remain masked at all indoor gatherings. We sing while wearing masks. Each time we gather, we confirm safety preferences with those present to ensure that everyone is comfortable. As always, these precautions are intended to help all who join us feel at home.
